How our little dream began...

We're two local Waiuku Mums who run our beautiful shop together, amongst the chaos of busy kids and family. We both have a strong passion and dream for Botanica on Bowen. We absolutely love our shop, and love our job - if you could call it that!

We met about 6 years ago at one of the local markets. Dee had her business 'Rimu Gully' - which sold beautiful handmade soaps, candles, beeswax wraps and balms. Kendal had a her business 'The Foliage Box' - which was a collection of unique indoor plants and pretty planters.

As our little businesses grew, we got chatting and talked about the future, what were our dreams - we both dreamt of a little shop in our hometown. We found an opportunity - an empty corner shop just off the main street of Waiuku...it was perfect! Although nervous as we were right amongst lockdowns and covid outbreaks - we bit the bullet and decided to give it a shot. Our own shop...and we've never looked back!
